Sabers Notes:

The Sabers are coming home this weekend off of an impressive 3-0 start away against the Bakersfield Roughnecks. They are eager to play another 3-0 team in the Las Vegas Thunderbirds and hope to hand them their first loss of the season. The Sabers have started strong with six players each having at least 1 goal and an additional eight players with at least 1 point. They look to continue their undefeated start in their 2022 home opener and an exciting weekend of hockey in Southern California.


Thunderbirds Notes:

The Thunderbirds enter Carlsbad with another 3-0 start off of electric, statement wins last weekend against the Lake Tahoe Lakers scoring a total of 27 goals across the three games. After one weekend, they have ten players with at least 1 goal and an additional six with at least 1 point. They come to Southern California ready for a potentially high-scoring series.


Who To Watch:

For the Sabers, Ulric Martel and Kaleb Miller are the players to watch for. Ulric enters the weekend with 4 goals for an average of 1.33 goals per game and is not showing any signs of stopping. Miller follows with 2 goals and is looking to continue setting up his teammates as he has 3 assists for a total of 5 points on the young season. 


For the Thunderbirds, Narek Aleksanyan and Ludovic Martel are the players to watch for. Both players began the season with their feet on the gas pedals with 6 goals each. Aleksanyan leads the team with 6 additional assists for an average of 4 points per game. Martel comes in second with 3 assists for an average of 3 points per game.
