Sabers sign defenseman Lucas Lundy from the BCHL

The Sabers have announced that defenseman Lucas Lundy from the BCHL will join them for the upcoming season on Monday, September 19.

The native of Delta, British Columbia, Canada, has played for the Coquitlam Express for the last two seasons. He played in 60 games there, recording three goals and four assists.

"Lucas will have a significant influence and strengthen our defensive line," said General Manager Domenick DiCicco. "Before promoting Lucas back to the higher levels, the Sabers' coaching staff believes they have a lot to teach Lucas and can assist him to hone his abilities and hockey IQ."

Make sure to catch Lucas and the rest of the Sabers in action during their opening weekend at Icetown Carlsbad. The fun begins in Carlsbad on Friday, Sept. 30th, Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday, October, 2nd against Las Vegas. Support San Diego hockey!
