The match ended in a nail-biting 2-2 tie, with both teams showcasing their skills and resilience throughout.

The first period saw the San Diego Sabers take an early lead when forward Mario Paganini found the back of the net at the 21:32 mark. The Sabers displayed impressive offensive maneuvers, but the DevCo Hockey defense, led by goaltender Antonino Rizzo, managed to keep them at bay for the rest of the period. The end of the first period saw the Sabers leading 1-0.

As the second period commenced, DevCo Hockey came out with renewed vigor, determined to level the playing field. Their persistence paid off just two minutes into the period when Francis Dunham capitalized on a scoring opportunity to tie the game at 1-1. Energized by the equalizer, DevCo Hockey continued to press forward and took the lead at 11:12 with a goal from Taye Ladislao.

Not to be outdone, the San Diego Sabers battled back, and in a late-period surge, Michael Gutierrez netted a crucial goal at 16:48, assisted by Fitzgerald and Paganini. With the score knotted at 2-2, the stage was set for an intense battle.

For the remainder of the game, each team traded offensive attacks, but stellar performances from goaltenders Signorelli and Rizzo denied any further goals, preserving the 2-2 tie.

Throughout the game, both teams displayed incredible discipline, resulting in a clean slate on the power-play front, with neither side converting any man-advantage opportunities.

With the score reflecting the closely fought battle, it was evident that these two teams were closely matched in skill and talent.
