Sabers acquire Jacob Skoczylas from Jr Bruins
The San Diego Sabers announced this week they have acquired defenseman Jacob Skoczylas from the Boston Jr Bruins of the USPHL Premier.
From L'Île-Bizard, QC, CAN, Jacob grew up playing in the Lac St-Louis Lions system before making the leap this year to the United States Premier Hockey League.
General Manager Domenick DiCicco noted that Jacob demonstrated his value as a defenseman while playing for the QM18AAA, where he scored 3 goals and 11 assists. "In addition to strengthening our defensive line, we believe Jacob can provide support to his teammates on the ice and become a valuable asset to the Sabers this upcoming season."
You can catch Jacob in action the weekend of Oct. 29 as the Sabers face the Lake Tahoe Lakers for the first time this season at home in Carlsbad, CA. The game begins at 8:00 PM at Icetown Carlsbad, 2283 Cosmos Ct, Carlsbad, CA 92011.
