Team Records:

  • Ontario Jr. Reign: 11-2-0 (by Sunday it will be different)

Sabers Notes:

The Sabers welcome the Jr. Reign to Carlsbad as they look to retain second place in the pacific by building a bigger lead or look to once again tie it up for a tighter race for second. The Sabers have played lights out these past two weeks dominating teams by a score differential of 28-4. They look to continue their electric play and put on a show for home ice as they play another red-hot team in the Jr. Reign also hungry for second place in the Pacific.

Jr. Reign Notes:

The Jr. Reign visit Carlsbad for the first time this season for a battle for second place in the Pacific. They have been a great team that has been able to provide goals and great defense which is a great matchup for the Sabers who also provide the same elite play. This game will serve as a test for both teams but ultimately will come down to who is hungrier.

Who To Watch:

For the Sabers, Michal Novak and Lucas Lundy are the two players to watch for. Novak leads the team with 11 goals and 9 assists totaling 20 points while averaging 1.54 points per game. Lundy follows closely behind with 2 goals and 15 assists for a total of 17 points averaging 1.42 points per game. These two have led a blazing Sabers team in an extremely dominant 4-game win streak and are very excited to bring the dominance back home to Carlsbad.

For the Reign, Ethan McKibbin and Max Kathol are the two players once again to watch for. McKibbin is on a mission this year and currently has the 11th-highest points in the USPHL with 17 goals and 14 assists totaling 31 points. Kathol isn't far behind ranking 25th with 7 goals and 19 assists totaling 26 points. These two are a force to reckon with and the Sabers will have to limit these two at home.
