Josh Spencer named assistant coach

The San Diego Sabers announced Sunday, September 5, that Josh Spencer has been named Assistant Coach.

Coach Spencer is a native of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada where he spent the majority of his hockey career.

His coaching career began with the Cloverdale Minor Hockey U18 AAA program where he had a very successful run as they won multiple championships including a league championship.

Shortly after he moved on to the Valley West Hawks in the BCMML as an Assistant Coach before returning to Cloverdale to take over as Head Coach for their U18 AA program.

"I'm excited to be joining the San Diego Sabers and taking the next step in my coaching career," said Coach Spencer. "I look forward to building new relationships here in the San Diego area and contributing to this great community."
