The San Diego Sabers are thrilled to declare that Sacha Rapchuk has committed to playing for the Sabers in the upcoming 2022–2023 United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) season.

Rapchuk joins the Sabers after playing for the Brisbane Lightning in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) this past season. Rapchuk, who was the Brisbane Lightning's youngest player, faced off against players with years of junior and professional experience in the United States and Canada.

Sacha Rapchuk said, "I can't wait to join the Sabers this coming season and develop as a man and a hockey player under Coach Casillo.”

“Sacha is a big-time player who is going to impact every shift. I couldn’t be more excited to see how far Sacha can take his game," Coach Casillo said.

The San Diego Sabers have announced their upcoming USPHL Prep Camp on the weekend of August 6-7, 2022 in Carlsbad, California at Icetown Carlsbad. This USPHL Prep Camp will serve as a valuable tool for players interested in pursuing Junior A hockey opportunities. To register, please visit sandiegosabershockey.com/sabers-camps.
