Cancer Awareness Night - Oct. 30th

by San Diego Sabers

The Sabers will host Cancer Awareness Night during their home game against the Lake Tahoe Lakers on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Icetown Carlsbad.

Fans will be asked to show their support for those fighting cancer by holding up "I Fight For" signs during a designated timeout, as well as by sharing their stories on social media platforms by using the #SabersFightCancer hashtag.

Select players will use sticks wrapped in lavender tape during warmups. Lavender is the official color of the Hockey Fights Cancer campaign, as it represents all forms of cancer.

The Sabers will also be hosting a silent auction featuring a team-signed vintage San Diego Sabers jersey. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the local San Diego North County Cancer Center.

The puck drops at 1:00 PM at Icetown Carlsbad, 2283 Cosmos Ct, Carlsbad, CA 92011.
