Ben Johansen commits to Drury University

The San Diego Sabers are pleased to announce that 2001-born forward Ben Johansen has committed to Drury University for the 2022-2023 season. Johansen joined the Sabers during the 2020-2021 season.

“I couldn't be happier for Ben.  He is a great kid with a great work ethic.  Ben was with us my first year at the Sabers and returned to us this past season,” said General Manager Domenick DiCicco. “Ben has the ability to be a natural leader both by his work ethic and his ability to connect with his teammates.  Ben will be a great fit for a program like Drury and what Coach Kenyon is building. It was a pleasure having Ben with us the past two seasons and we look forward to seeing him accomplish more in hockey at Drury as well as in the classroom.”

The San Diego Sabers organization would like to congratulate Ben and his family on this accomplishment and wish him all the best on and off the ice next season with Drury University.
