The San Diego Sabers 2001-born forward, Adam Wedberg, returns to his native Sweden and signs pro to compete for Viggbyholms IK of Hockeytvåan (Division 2).

Adam joined the San Diego Sabers halfway through the 2021-2022 United States Premier Hockey League season and quickly became the team’s leading scorer obtaining 29 goals and 26 assists in only 29 matches played.

“As a young man who works hard every day and approaches the game in a professional manner, I have no doubt Adam will excel with Viggbyholm IK,” said General Manager Domenick DiCicco. ”In the time Adam was with the Sabers, he always had a smile and brought an upbeat culture to the locker room. He’s an intelligent player with an ability to read the game and I firmly believe that will lead him to succeed at the next level.”

The San Diego Sabers would like to congratulate Adam and his family on this accomplishment and wish him all the best on and off the ice next season with Viggbyholms IK.
